STUDENT ASSISTANCE TRAINING INTERNATIONAL provides in-depth training to schools and communities in the prevention and early intervention of high-risk behaviors. We offer state-of-the-art training in researched based national program models which are successfully impacting youth, their families, and communities in which they live.  For the past 24 years, SATI has trained schools in  50 United States and 30 foreign countries. 

 

PURPOSE OF THE WORKSHOP: This intensive 3-day workshop will teach participants how to implement a comprehensive Student Assistance Program (K-post secondary) in their school, district, or community.  Major emphasis will be placed on group facilitator training and the prevention and early intervention of high-risk behaviors. Participants will be guided through eight experiential support groups.

 

WHO IS THIS WORK SHOP FOR? Teachers, counselors, social  workers, psychologists, administrators, board members, parents, nurses, classified staff, mental health and social service agencies, and other concerned community members. Participants may attend as an individual or as a member of a school community team.

 

REGISTRATION AND COST: Registration fee is $310, payable by check or purchase order. Early registration fee is $285 (received before 12/16 or 5/4). Comprehensive training manual (440pgs) and certificate of completion for 27 classroom hours will be given to each participant. 

 

GRADUATE CREDIT:  Available--2 semester hours of enrichment credit is available from the University of Wyoming. Participants will register the day of the training and will pay an additional tuition fee of $100 to the University of Wyoming.
